Curly Endive

It is the curly variety, very similar to the smooth endive, but with some differences. Like the smooth endive it originates from India. Its leaves are large, much curlier than the smooth endive and slightly yellow. They are united by a central nerve, the head of which is compact and forms a piece of more than 40 leaves.

It has a slightly bitter taste and is mainly eaten cooked or as a salad.
